IMPACT is based in Johnston, a small town located in west-central South Carolina that proudly touts itself as being the "Peach Capital of the World."

But the crown jewels of the Ridge aren't necessarily those fuzzy, golden-red orbs that appear each year in late spring and early summer.
Michael Dennis, Brian Davis and Timothy Bryant are also putting Edgefield County on the map.  IMPACT has performed from Alabama to Tennessee and points in between, making the group's name almost synonymous with the area in which they live.

And while there are those who might dispute the guys' "sweetness,"
there is no controversy surrounding the delectability of their music
or the palatability of their message.
Timothy was born in Aiken, SC, and reared in nearby New Ellenton.  He began singing in the church choir at the age of 7.

He first took band class in the sixth grade and eventually learned to play both bass and snare drums as well as the xylophone.  In high school, he was a member of the marching, concert and jazz bands.

At 14, Tim was playing keyboard and starting to write his own music. As a high school junior, Timothy began singing and playing with two of his pals in a group called 2 Smooth.
Michael Dennis was born in Edgefield and reared on the Ridge.  He attended Ridge Spring-Monetta schools, where he joined the band in sixth grade, playing trumpet.

By the time he reached high school, Michael had switched to drums, including snare and bass.  He was a member of the concert band, playing either trumpet and drums as needed, and he played timbali in the marching band.

In tenth grade, Michael and several other members of the band began rapping and dancing during breaks.  Those antics led to the creation of Lovers Crew.  Michael served as the group's hype man.
