Tahnee Latrell was born in Augusta, GA and reared near Trenton, SC. She graduated from Strom Thurmond High School in Johnston and was a 1993 graduate from the University of South Carolina at Aiken.
Tahnee began her career by singing in church and performing for community events. A significant moment during those early years came when she performed, "You Light Up My Life", the hit song by Debbie Boone, as an elementary student at Douglas Elementary School.
In high school, Tahnee played clarinet on the marching band and also sang with the Strom Thurmond Show Choir.
While in college, she participated in the Miss America Scholarship Program, where she won several titles and numerous talent awards.
Tahnee was a runner-up in the nationally televised "Amateur Night At the Apollo" in Harlem, New York, and has since performed regularly at community, civic and social events throughout South Carolina.
Tahnee joined IMPACT in the studio in early 2004 to assist with vocals on some of the songs slated for the group's next album. During that time she also wrote and recorded several tracks for her own upcoming CD.
In February, she became a featured artist for IMPACT and now tours with the group.
